List of Heating Functions

Choose from many heating functions to get the best result possible for your cooking. The functions may differ depending on the model.

To bake on up to three positions at the same time and to dry food. Set the temperature 20 - 40 °C lower than for the function: Conventional Cooking.

To bake pizza. To make intensive browning and a crispy bottom.

To prepare tender, succulent roasts.

To bake and roast food on one shelf position.

To make convenience food (e.g. French fries, potato wedges or spring rolls) crispy.

To roast larger meat joints or poultry with bones on one shelf position. Also use the function to make gratins and to brown food.

To grill flat food and to toast bread.

First connection

Configure your new oven to suit you.

When you have connected the oven to the mains, or after the power cut, you will be asked to do some basic configuration.

Set the Clock

Set the oven´s clock and keep track of the time.

  1. Turn on the oven.
  2. Wait until the display shows and 12:00.
  3. Press or to set up the time.
  4. Press to confirm.
    Note: You can change the time of day at any time by pressing .
Set the Water hardness

For best results when cooking with steam, set the water hardness to match the water quality from your tap.

  1. Take the 4 colour change strip.
  2. Put all the reaction zones of the strip into the water for approximately 1 second.
    Do not put the strip into the running water.
  3. Shake the strip to remove the excess of the water.
  4. Wait 1 minute and check the water hardness with the water hardness table.
    The colours of the reaction zones continue to change. Do not check the water hardness later than 1 minute after the test.

Before first use

Before you take your cooking skills to a new level, let us help you with the first time set up.

Connect your oven, give it an initial clean and configure the settings before you start cooking your first meals.

Initial cleaning

Give your oven and accessories a good start with an easy initial cleaning.

Make sure the oven is cold.
  1. Remove the accessories and the removable shelf supports.
  2. Clean the accessories and the inside of the oven with a soft cloth with warm water and a mild cleaning agent.
    Do not clean the accessories in the dishwasher.
  3. Clean the front of the oven with a soft cloth with warm water and a mild cleaning agent.
  4. Put the accessories and the removable shelf supports back in their initial position.
Insert the accessories

See how easy it is to place the accessories inside your oven.

Warning: Always use oven gloves to remove or put in accessories or ovenware.
Insert the wire shelf

The guide bars help you to smoothly insert the wire shelf.

Push the wire shelf between the guide bars of the shelf support:

Insert a baking tray or a deep pan

Use the telescopic runners to insert the wire shelf

Easygoing. The telescopic runners make it even easier to put in or remove shelves, trays and pans.

  1. Put the wire shelf on the telescopic runners so that the feet point downwards.
    The high rim around the wire shelf prevents cookware from slipping.
  2. Push the telescopic runners into the oven.
    CAUTION: Make sure that you push back the telescopic runners fully into the oven before you close the door.
Use the telescopic runners to insert the deep pan

Easygoing. The telescopic runners make it even easier to put in or remove shelves, trays and pans.

  1. Put the deep pan on the telescopic runners.
  2. Push the telescopic runners into the oven.
    CAUTION: Make sure that you push back the telescopic runners fully into the oven before you close the door.
Use the telescopic runners to insert the wire shelf together with a deep pan

Nice and neat. Catch drips from the wire tray with a deep pan. Place them together on the telescopic runners and enjoy the easy way to insert accessories.

  1. Place the deep pan on the telescopic runner.
  2. Place the wire shelf on top of the deep pan, so that the feet of the wire shelf point downwards.
    The high rim around the wire shelf prevents cookware from slipping.
  3. Push the telescopic runners into the oven.
    CAUTION: Make sure that you push back the telescopic runners fully into the oven before you close the door.

Set a heating function

Your oven can help with a lot of things. Find and use the function that helps you the most today.

  1. Turn on the oven.
    The display shows the set temperature, the symbol and the number of the heating function.
  2. Press or to set a heating function.
  3. Press or wait for the oven to start automatically after 5 seconds.
    Note: If you turn on the oven and do not set any heating function or programme, the oven turns off automatically after 20 seconds.
Change the temperature

Choose the perfect temperature for your dish and enjoy delicious meals.

Press or .
The temperature changes by 5 °C.
When the oven is at the set temperature, a signal sounds and the Heat-up indicator disappears.
Check the temperature

Choose the perfect temperature for your dish and enjoy delicious meals.

You can check the current temperature in the oven when the function or programme operates.

  1. Press .
    The display shows the temperature in the oven.
  2. Press .

    When you cook with the Food Sensor, you can choose the temperature that the display shows. After the Food Sensor is in the socket, and you set the oven function and the temperature, the display shows the current core temperature.

    Touch repeatedly to see one of the three temperatures: the set core temperature, the current oven temperature and the current core temperature.

Set the cooking time

Your oven keeps track of the cooking time for you.

You can set the cooking time with the function Duration.
  1. Set a heating function and the temperature.
  2. Press repeatedly until starts to flash.
  3. Press or to set the time.
  4. Press or wait for the function to start automatically after 5 seconds.
The heating function starts. When the set time ends:
  • A signal sounds for 2 minutes.
  • The display shows flashing.
  • The oven turns off.
Important: Press any symbol to turn off the signal.
Set the End Time

Your oven keeps track of the cooking time for you.

You can set the time when the heating function completes with the functionEnd Time.
  1. Set a heating function and the temperature.
  2. Press repeatedly until starts to flash.
  3. Press or to set the time.
  4. Press .
The heating function starts. When the set time ends:
  • A signal sounds for 2 minutes.
  • The display shows flashing.
  • The oven turns off.
Important: Press any symbol to turn off the signal.
Set the Time Delay

Prepare your day. Set the heating function and start it later.

You can combine the function Duration and the function End Time. The oven turns on automatically later on, works for the set Duration time and stops at the set End Time.
  1. Set a heating function and the temperature.
  2. Press repeatedly until starts to flash.
  3. Press or to set the Duration time.
  4. Press .
    The display shows flashing .
  5. Press or to set the End Time.
  6. Press .
The heating function starts automatically at the set time. When the set cooking time ends:
  • A signal sounds for 2 minutes.

  • The oven turns off.

Set a countdown with the Minute Minder

Your oven keeps track of the cooking time for you.

You can set the Minute Minder at any time, also when the oven is off. The countdown does not affect the operation of the oven.
  1. Press .
    The display shows flashing and 00:00.
  2. Press to switch between options.
  3. Press or to set the time. Press to confirm.
  4. Press or wait for the function to start automatically after 5 seconds.
The countdown starts. When the set time ends:
  • A signal sounds for 2 minutes.
  • The display shows and flashing 00:00.
Important: Press any symbol to turn off the signal.
Count Up Timer

Your oven keeps track of the cooking time for you.

Count Up Timer shows for how long the oven works and starts immediately after the oven begins to heat.

The Count Up Timer does not affect the operation of the oven.

To reset the Count Up Timer press and at the same time. The display shows 00:00 and the Count Up Timer starts again.

Note: The Count Up Timer does not work when the Duration and the End Time are set.
Change the time of day

Set the clock and start cooking.

  1. Press again and again until it starts to flash.
  2. Press or to set up the time.
  3. Press to confirm.
The display shows the new time.
Cook with steam

Use the steam functions to make delicious food and preserve nutrients and flavour at the same time.

Steam cooking requires that there is water in the water drawer. A full water drawer is sufficient for approximately 50 minutes. A signal sounds when it is time to refill.
Warning: Risk of fire.

Do not put flammable or alcoholic liquids into the water drawer.

CAUTION: Risk of damage to the oven.

Use only cold tap water. Do not use filtered (demineralised) or distilled water. Do not use other liquids.

  1. Press the cover of the water drawer to open it.
  2. Fill the water drawer with cold water to the maximum level (approximately 950 ml).
    CAUTION: Do not fill the water drawer over its maximum capacity. There is a risk of water leakage, overflow and furniture damage.
    A sound signal or a message on the display indicate when the water drawer is full.
  3. Push the water drawer to its initial position.
  4. Turn on the oven.
  5. Set a steam heating function and the temperature.
  6. Optional: set the cooking time with the function Duration or the function End Time.
  7. Wait until the steam cooking is complete.
    The steam appears after approximately two minutes and a signal sounds when the oven reaches the set temperature. A second signal sounds at the end of the cooking time.
    CAUTION: Risk of burns.

    Be careful when you open the oven door when the function is active. Steam can release.

  8. Turn off the oven.
    The oven turns off automatically if the function End time is used.
  9. Empty the water drawer after steam cooking is complete.
    Refer to the information on how to empty the water drawer.
    CAUTION: Risk of burns.

    Be careful when you empty the water drawer. The oven might be hot.

  10. When the oven is cold, wipe the bottom of the cavity to remove condensate.
  11. Let the oven dry fully with the door open.
    You can speed up the drying. Close the door and heat up the oven with the function Heating Functions > True Fan Cooking at temperature 150 °C for approximately 15 minutes.
Cook with Full Steam

Prepare all types of food, fresh or frozen. You can cook, warm, defrost, poach or blanch vegetables, meat, fish, pasta, rice, semolina and eggs.

You can cook dishes with similar cooking times at the same time. Use the largest quantity of water required.
  1. Use the second shelf position.
  2. Select menu Heating Functions > Full Steam and set the temperature to 99 °C unless recommended otherwise.
    CAUTION: Make sure that the water drawer is not empty.
    Warning: Be careful when you open the oven door when the function is on. Steam can release.
Combine Turbo Grilling and Full Steam

Cook meat, vegetables and side dishes together at the same time.

  1. Turn on the oven.
  2. Select the function Heating Functions > Turbo Grilling and set the appropriate time and temperature to roast the meat.
  3. Put the prepared vegetables and side dishes inside the oven.
  4. Cool down the oven to a temperature of approximately 90 °C.
    Open the oven door to the first position for the first 15 minutes.
  5. Select the function Heating Functions > Full Steam and set the appropriate time and temperature.
    CAUTION: Make sure that the water drawer is not empty.
  6. Cook all dishes together until they are ready.
Sterilise containers with Full Steam

Sterilisation made easy. Sterilise your baby bottles or other containers in the oven.

  1. Put the clean containers upside down in the centre of the shelf on the first shelf position.
  2. Fill the water drawer with cold tap water to the maximum level.
  3. Select menu Heating Functions > Full Steam and set the time to 40 minutes.
    Warning: Be careful when you open the oven door when the function is on. Steam can release.
Use the Food Sensor

The Food Sensor helps you cook your food all the way through.

The Food Sensor measures the temperature inside the food. When the food is at the set temperature, the oven turns off.

CAUTION: Use only the supplied Food Sensor and the original replacement parts.

Two temperatures need to be set to use the Food Sensor:

  • The oven temperature (minimum 120 °C).
  • The food core temperature.

The oven calculates an approximate end of cooking time. It depends on the quantity of food, the set heating function and the set temperatures.

When you put Food Sensor into the socket, you cancel the settings for the clock functions.

Directions for the best result:

  • Ingredients should be at room temperature.

  • The Food Sensor cannot be used for liquid dishes.

  • During cooking the Food Sensor must remain in the dish and the plug in the socket.

Cook meat, poultry, and fish with the Food Sensor

The Food Sensor helps you measure the temperature inside the food.

  1. Turn on the oven.
  2. Insert the tip of the Food Sensor into the centre of the meat or the fish, in the thickest part (if possible).
    Make sure that at least 3/4 of the Food Sensor is inside of the dish.
  3. Put the plug of the Food Sensor into the socket located in the front frame of the oven.
    The display shows flashing and the default core temperature. The default temperature is 60 °C for the first use, and the last set value for each next use.
  4. Press or to set the core temperature.
  5. Press or wait for the settings to save automatically after 5 seconds.
    Note: You can set the core temperature only when flashes. If is in the display but does not flash, before you set the core temperature, touch and or to set a new value.
  6. Set a heating function and the oven temperature.
    The display shows the current core temperature and the heat up symbol .

When the dish reaches the set food core temperature, a signal sounds and the oven turns off automatically.

Touch any symbol to stop the signal.

Remove the Food Sensor plug from the socket before you remove the dish from the oven.
Warning: Risk for burns.

The Food Sensor becomes hot. Be careful when you unplug the Food Sensor and remove it from the food.

Cook casserole with the Food Sensor

The Food Sensor helps you measure the temperature inside the food.

  1. Turn on the oven.
  2. Place half of the ingredients in a baking dish.
  3. Insert the tip of the Food Sensor exactly in the centre of the casserole.
    The sensor must not move during baking. Use solid ingredients to stabilize the Food Sensor and support the silicone handle on the rim of the baking dish.
    Important: Do not let the tip of the Food Sensor touch the bottom of the baking dish.
  4. Cover the Food Sensor with the rest of the ingredients.
  5. Put the plug of the Food Sensor into the socket located in the front frame of the oven.
    The display shows flashing and the default core temperature. The default temperature is 60 °C for the first use, and the last set value for each next use.
  6. Press or to set the core temperature.
  7. Press or wait for the settings to save automatically after 5 seconds.
    Note: You can set the core temperature only when flashes. If is in the display but does not flash, before you set the core temperature, touch and or to set a new value.
  8. Set a heating function and the oven temperature.
    The display shows the current core temperature and the heat up symbol .
When the dish reaches the set food core temperature, a signal sounds and the oven turns off automatically.

Touch any symbol to stop the signal.

Remove the Food Sensor plug from the socket before you remove the dish from the oven.

The Food Sensor becomes hot. Be careful when you unplug the Food Sensor and remove it from the food.

Heat up the oven extra fast

Short on time? The function Fast Heat Up makes the oven reach your selected temperature even faster.

Note: Do not put food in the oven when the function Fast Heat Up operates.
Hold for 3 seconds.
The heat-up indicator flashes.
The function Fast Heat Up is on.
Note: The Fast Heat Up is available only for some heating functions. Turn on the Faulty Tone option in the settings menu for the signal to sound if the Fast Heat Up is not available for a specific function.

Find out when your oven reaches the right temperature.

When you turn on a heating function, the bar appears on the display. The bar shows the increase of the temperature.

When the oven reaches the set temperature, the bar disappears.

Save a favourite programme

Save time when you cook your favourite food, store the required settings as a favourite programme.

For quicker access, save settings such as duration or temperature for an oven function or a programme.
  1. Turn on the oven.
  2. Set the temperature and time for an oven function or a programme.
  3. Touch and hold for more than three seconds.
    A signal sounds.
  4. Deactivate the oven.
Use My Favourite Programme

Use your stored favourite programme to save time when you cook.

  1. Turn on the oven.
  2. Touch .
    The oven activates your favourite programme.
    Note: When the function operates, you can change the time and temperature.
  3. Touch .
    The oven deactivates your favourite programme.
Use the Child Lock

When the Child Lock is on, the oven cannot be turned on by accident.

Note: You can turn on this function when the oven is off. Do not set a heating function.
  1. Press for 3 seconds.
  2. Press and at the same time for 2 seconds.
    A signal sounds. The display shows SAFE
The Child Lock is on. Repeat step 2 to turn it off.
Use the Function Lock

With the Function Lock on, the selected heating function cannot be changed by accident.

Note: You can turn it on only when the oven works.
  1. Turn on the oven.
  2. Select a heating function or a setting.
  3. Press and at the same time for 2 seconds.
    A signal sounds. The display shows the Function Lock.
Repeat step 3 to turn it off.
Use the automatic switch-off

Your oven automatically turns off after a certain period of inactivity.

For safety reasons, the oven turns off automatically after some time if a heating function is active and you do not change any settings.

After the automatic switch-off, if you touch the sensor field the oven starts to operate again.

Note: The automatic switch-off cannot be used together with the functions: Light, Food Sensor, Duration, Time Delay or End Time.

Save energy

Save energy without effort in your everyday cooking.

Oven features that help you to save energy:

The oven fan
When possible, use the fan cooking functions to save energy.
Moist Fan Baking
This function is designed to save energy. The lamp automatically turns off after 30 seconds. You may turn on the lamp again but this action will reduce the expected energy savings.
Cook with the lamp off
You can turn off the lamp during cooking. Turn it on only when you need it.
Use of residual heat
If the cooking time is set with the function Duration or the function End Time, and the cooking time is longer than 30 minutes, the oven turns off the heating elements earlier in some oven functions. The fan and the lamp continue to operate.

When the cooking duration is longer than 30 minutes, and the function Duration or the function End Time are not set, reduce the oven temperature to minimum 3 - 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time (depending on the duration of the cooking).

When you turn off the oven, the display shows the residual heat. Use the residual heat to heat up food, defrost food, keep food warm or warm up plates.

Deactivating the display
You can turn off the display. Press and hold and at the same time. Repeat this step to turn it on again.

General tips on how to save energy:

  • Make sure that the oven door is closed properly when the oven operates.
  • Do not open the door too often during cooking.
  • Keep the door gasket clean and make sure it is well fixed in its position.
  • Use metal dishes to improve energy saving.
  • When possible, do not preheat the oven before you put the food inside.
  • When you prepare several dishes on the same occasion, keep breaks between baking as short as possible.

When to clean the oven

After each use:

  • Manually clean the oven, or use the function Steam Cleaning.
    Important: Fat accumulation or other food remains may result in a fire. The risk is especially high for the grill pan.
  • Clean the used accessories.

After each use of steam:

  • Wipe moisture from the oven cavity.
  • Empty the water drawer.

After frequent use of steam:

  • Rinse the steam generation system.

When the related reminder is displayed:

  • Clean the oven with the function Steam Cleaning.
  • Descale the steam generation system.

As needed:

  • Clean the oven with the function Steam Cleaning .
    Important: If you turn off the cleaning reminder, remember to clean the oven regularly.
  • Wipe moisture from the oven cavity.
  • Clean the front of the oven.
  • Clean the internal glass in the door.
  • Replace the lamp.
How to manually clean the oven
Note: Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers. They can scratch the glass panel in the door and cause the glass to shatter.
  • Make sure that the oven is cold before you start to clean it. Otherwise the glass in the door can break.
  • Clean the oven cavity with a soft cloth with warm water and a neutral cleaning agent. Do not use any abrasive products, abrasive cleaning pads, solvents or metal objects.
  • To clean metal surfaces, use a dedicated cleaning agent.
  • Clean stubborn dirt with a cleaning agent that is intended for ovens.
  • Clean the front of the oven with a soft cloth with warm water and a mild cleaning agent.
  • Do not clean the catalytic enamel (if applicable) with any kind of detergent.
How to clean accessories
  • Clean accessories with a soft cloth with warm water and a cleaning agent. Do not clean the accessories in a dishwasher.
  • If you have nonstick accessories, do not clean them with aggressive cleaning agents, sharp-edged objects or in a dishwasher. It can cause damage to the nonstick coating.
  • Do not clean the telescopic runners in the dishwasher or lubricate them.

Note: Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers. They can scratch the glass panel in the door and cause the glass to shatter.
  • Make sure that the oven is cold before you start to clean it. Otherwise the glass in the door can break.
  • Clean the oven cavity with a soft cloth with warm water and a neutral cleaning agent. Do not use any abrasive products, abrasive cleaning pads, solvents or metal objects.
  • To clean metal surfaces, use a dedicated cleaning agent.
  • Clean stubborn dirt with a cleaning agent that is intended for ovens.
  • Clean the front of the oven with a soft cloth with warm water and a mild cleaning agent.
  • Do not clean the catalytic enamel (if applicable) with any kind of detergent.

How to clean accessories

  • Clean accessories with a soft cloth with warm water and a cleaning agent. Do not clean the accessories in a dishwasher.
  • If you have nonstick accessories, do not clean them with aggressive cleaning agents, sharp-edged objects or in a dishwasher. It can cause damage to the nonstick coating.
  • Do not clean the telescopic runners in the dishwasher or lubricate them.
Recommended cleaning products

Use the recommended cleaning products for good results and a fresh oven.

You can buy our products in the Electrolux webshop and in the best retailer shops.

CAUTION: Do not use abrasive sponges or aggressive detergents. It can cause damage to the enamel and the stainless steel parts.
Cleaning Reminder

When the display shows a cleaning reminder, cleaning is necessary.

When the cleaning reminder shows, use the function Steam Cleaning to clean your oven.

You enable or disable the cleaning reminder in the menu Settings > Cleaning Reminder.

Clean your oven with Steam Cleaning - S2

Regularly clean the oven to continue to get good cooking results.

The duration of the function Steam Cleaning is approximately 30 minutes. The oven needs to dry for up to one hour after the function ends.

When the steam cleaning function is active, the light in the oven is off.

Important: Before you start a cleaning procedure, make sure that the oven is cold.
  1. Remove the accessories and the shelf support to clean the side walls.
  2. Remove as much dirt as possible manually.
  3. Fill the water drawer with cold water to the maximum level (approximately 950 ml).
    A sound signal or a message on the display indicate when the water drawer is full.
  4. Select menu > Steam Cleaning - S2 and turn on the function.
  5. A signal sounds when the function completes. Press any symbol to turn off the signal.
  6. Wipe the cavity of the oven with a non-abrasive surface care sponge. You can use warm water.
  7. Let the oven dry fully with the door open.
    It takes approximately one hour for the oven to dry.
    Note: You can speed up the drying. Close the door and heat up the oven with the function True Fan Cooking at the temperature 150 °C for approximately 15 minutes.
    Important: To get the maximum effect of the steam cleaning, manually clean the oven immediately after the steam cleaning function completes.

Repeat the procedure a second time if the level of dirt is high.

Remove and install the shelf support

Remove the shelf support to easily clean and care for your oven.

Warning: Risk of burns. Make sure that the oven is cool before you start to work.
  1. Pull the supports up and out of the front catch.
  2. Pull the front end of the shelf support away from the side wall.
  3. Pull the supports out of the rear catch.
  4. To install the shelf support, do the steps in reverse order.
Remove and install door glasses

Remove the door to clean the internal glass plates or to do the servicing of the door.

You can remove the door and the internal glass panels to clean it. The number of glass panels is different for different models.
Warning: The door is heavy.
  1. Open the door fully.
  2. Fully press the clamping levers (A) on the two door hinges.
  3. Close the oven door to the first open position, at an angle of approximately 70°.
  4. Hold the door with one hand on each side and pull it away from the oven at an upwards angle.
  5. Put the door with the outer side down on a soft cloth on a stable surface.
  6. Press on the sides of the door trim (B) to release the clip seal and gently pull the trim off the door.
  7. Remove the glass panels one by one: hold each panel on the top edge and pull it upwards out of the guide.
  8. Clean the glass panel with water and soap. Dry the glass panel carefully.
  9. To install the door, do the steps in reverse order. Install the smaller panel before the larger panel.
    Warning: Risk of overheating. Make sure that the glass panels are inserted in the correct position, otherwise the surface of the door may overheat.

Replace the top lamp

If the light in your oven dims, check the top lamp and replace it if needed.

Warning:
  • Risk of electric shock. Turn off the oven before you start to work.
  • The lamp can be hot.
  1. Turn off the oven.
  2. Wait until the oven is cold.
  3. Disconnect the oven from the main power supply.
  4. Put a cloth on the bottom of the cavity.
  5. Turn the lamp glass cover to remove it.
  6. Remove the metal ring and clean the glass cover.
  7. Replace the lamp with a suitable 300 °C heat-resistant lamp.
  8. Attach the metal ring to the glass cover.
  9. Install the metal glass cover over the lamp.
Replace the side lamp

If the light in your oven dims, check the side lamp and replace it if needed.

Warning:
  • Risk of electric shock. Turn off the oven before you start to work.
  • The lamp can be hot.
  1. Turn off the oven.
  2. Wait until the oven is cold.
  3. Disconnect the oven from the main power supply.
  4. Put a cloth on the bottom of the cavity.
  5. Remove the left shelf support to access the lamp.
  6. Use a Torx 20 screwdriver to remove the cover.
  7. Remove the metal frame and the seal from the lamp cover and clean them.
  8. Replace the lamp with a suitable 300 °C heat-resistant lamp.
  9. Install the metal frame and the seal of the lamp cover. Tighten the screws.
  10. Install the left shelf support.
Empty the water drawer

Keep your oven clean. Empty the water drawer with the function Tank Emptying after you cook with steam.

The function Tank Emptying removes the residual water from the water drawer. Use the function after you use a steam cooking function.

The duration of the function is approximately 6 minutes. The light is off in this function.

  1. Remove all accessories.
  2. Put the baking tray on the first shelf position.
  3. Select menu > Tank Emptying - S1
  4. Press .
  5. When the procedure is complete, remove the baking tray.
Rinse the steam generation system - S4

Regularly rinse the steam generation system to ensure good cooking results.

The duration of the function Rinsing is approximately 30 minutes.

When the function is active, the light in the oven is off.

  1. Remove all accessories.
  2. Put the baking tray on the first shelf position.
  3. Fill the water drawer with fresh water to the maximum level (approximately 950 ml).
    A sound signal or a message on the display indicate when the water drawer is full.
  4. Select menu > Rinsing - S4 .
  5. Remove the baking tray when the function is complete.
Descale regularly

Keep up the good steam: descale when your oven indicates that it is time.

To prevent limestone accumulation in the steam generation system, clean the steam generation circuit as soon as the oven prompts you with a descaling reminder.

Limestone accumulates inside the steam generator because of the calcium contents in the water. Accumulated limestone can have a negative effect on the steam quality, the performance of the steam generator, and the food quality.

Descaling reminder

You have to descale the steam generation system regularly in order to use the steam functions. The descaling reminder helps you to remember.

When it is time to use the function Descaling, a reminder shows on the display each time you turn off the oven. When reminder is active S3 flashes on the display.

You cannot turn off the descaling reminder.

There are two types of reminders:

  • The soft reminder reminds and recommends you to run the function Descaling.
  • The hard reminder obligates you to run the function Descaling.
    Important: If you do not descale the oven when the hard reminder is on, you cannot use the steam functions.
Descale the steam generation system - S3

Descale the steam generation system regularly to continue to get good cooking results.

The duration of the complete descaling procedure is approximately 2 hours.

When the function Descaling works, the light in the oven is off.

Important: If the descaling procedure is not carried out correctly, a display message will prompt you to repeat the procedure.
  1. Remove all accessories.
  2. Make sure that the water drawer is empty. Activate the function Tank Emptying - S1 if needed.
  3. Put the baking tray on the first shelf position.
  4. Put 250 ml of the descaling agent in the water drawer.
  5. Fill the remaining part of the water drawer with water to the maximum level (approximately 950 ml).
    A sound signal or a message on the display indicate when the water drawer is full.
  6. Select menu > Descaling - S3 .
    The first part of the function Descaling starts. The duration of this step is approximately 1 hour 40 minutes.
  7. When the first part is complete, empty the baking tray and put it back on the first shelf position.
  8. Activate the function Rinsing. Select menu > Rinsing - S4.
  9. When the second part is complete, remove the baking tray.
  10. If the oven cavity is humid or wet, wipe it with a dry cloth.
  11. Let the oven dry fully with the door open.
